- Failure mechanisms and consolidation treatments: problems and solutions

- Traditional consolidation methods under review

- Synthetic materials used in structural consolidation treatments

- Minimal intervention: review of the concept

- Minimal intervention: experiences and studio cases

PRACTICAL WORKSHOP: demonstrations and exercises on the treatment of deformations, tear mending, strip lining, nap bond systems and cold lining among others.

2. LANGUAGES: English, with translation into Spanish.

- Option A: only theoretical lessons (September,22 and 23rd, 2009) (9.00am-20.00 pm)
- Option B: theoretical lessons (September,22-23rd, 2009) (9.00am-20.00 pm)+ practical workshop (September,24-25th, 2009) (9.00am-20.00 pm)
