James Gross previously
worked for four years as a Micrographic Technician at the National
Archives in College Park, MD in the Special Media and Preservation Lab.
His duties included microfilming original records, assisting in the
management of the Master Film Library, as well as repairing microfilm
rolls which required preservation. He was given recognition for his
efforts in re-organizing the microfilm cabinets as well as using MS
Access to catalog the holdings of the Master Microfilm library
warehouse.
He is currently working as a Micrographic Specialist at the Historical
Society of Pennsylvania, where he is assisting them with microfilm
preservation efforts. He is also pursuing a Master’s degree in Library
Science at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
