Anca Nicolaescu (BA, MA) is a mural painting conservator with a Master degree from the National Art University  in Bucharest, Romania. She received the rank of specialist from the Romanian Ministry of Culture in 2005 after having coordinated various distinguished conservation projects. One of the projects (a 17th century mural painting ensemble) by Restauro Art Grup (conservation enterprise she co-founded) was awarded in 2004 the "Vasile Dragut" prize for Cultural National Heritage by the Romanian Ministry of Culture. Her work experience includes international participation at conservation projects in UK, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Japan, India and Denmark. She presently works as a freelance conservator in Paris, France.
