Free Release of New Preservation Tools from NEDCC Print

 

 

The Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC) has announced the free release of new products serving the training needs of archivists, librarians, and museum and historical society professionals.
NEDCC is a nonprofit, regional conservation center located in Andover, Massachusetts offering services such as conservation of books, paper and photographs, workshops and conferences, surveys, publications, reference services, and disaster assistance.

 

The suite of new products includes:

 

dPlan: The Online Disaster Planning Tool, is used to write institutional disaster plans.

dPlan Lite, is  available from October 2, 2008:

Preservation 101 is a free distance-education course on preservation administration:

Toolkit on Surveying Digital Readiness helps assess the preservation needs of digital holdings:
