An introduction to laser cleaning in conservation National Museums Liverpool Conservation Technologies Department Conservation technologies holds regular two-day courses offering students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of laser cleaning. Course Dates: * 17-18 March 2008 * 6-17 June 2008 * 9-30 September 2008 * 8-9 December 2008 The course includes: * an introduction to light and lasers * laser safety * how laser cleaning works * practical laser cleaning * test cleaning on samples bought by participants The course, which comprises lectures, case studies, practical work and discussion, attracts participants worldwide. Courses are normally run four times a year with a maximum of only five places on each course.
