A publication on the treatment method with Calcium-phytate/ calcium-bicarbonate was recently launched on The Ink Corrosion Website. The research was published by Birgit Reissland (ICN, Amsterdam), Karin Scheper (University Library Leiden/NL) and Sabine Fleischer (Broekens and Fleischer Book and Paper Conservation, Nijmegen/NL) and can be accessed in HTML format, but instructions with images of all recommended test- and treatment procedures are given in PDF-format.

The website, well-structured and easy to access, was created in collaboration with the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam and The Netherlands Institute for Cultural Heritage in Amsterdam, but contributions came from many other organisations.

Among its features, the website gives the opportunity to join a discussion list in order to exchange ideas about iron gall ink. For those that do not wish to become members of the list, the archive can be consulted online. The website was developed to inform all those interested on the new developments of the ongoing research on iron gall ink corrosion.
