Hermitage: Restoration of a XVIII Century Clock Masterpiece |

The Hermitage Museum at St. Petersburg has recently
announced the completion of the restoration of a XVIII century melody
clock that used to belong to the Empress Catherine II.
This project was possible due to the support of Samsung, the worldwide known electronics company.
The
intervention was lead by Mikhail Guryev, Director of the Laboratory
for Scientific Restoration of Clocks, Watches and Musical Mechanisms at
the Hermitage. |
