The Tate Gallery has announced the opening of a new website: "The Tate Conservation online". The website is providing "An Introduction to the Conservation Department and "A Brief History of the Department" which started back in 1955. You can also find information about Tate’s conservation departments: Frames, Paintings, Paper, Science, Sculpture, Time-based Media and the Workshop. The website provides Project Case Studies describing the conservation process of the artworks, where interesting technical execution details are revealed.
