Hello all,

Has anyone experienced problems with the magazine download or with the login module?
If so, please report which browser are you using and the encountered problems so we can fix them asap.

Thank you.

EDIT: If you are using IE (Internet Explorer) version 6.0 you may experience a login problem.
To check your version of IE, in the browser go to "Help" -> "about Internet Explorer"

A temporary solution is to clean both your cache and cookies from the browser. Here is how to do it:

step 1. In IE go to "Tools" -> "Internet Options"
step 2. Under "General" find "Temporary Internet files" and press "Delete Cookies"
step 3. Under "General" find "Temporary Internet files" and press "Delete Files".
Attention, if you don't want to delete your offline stored content, do NOT tick the box "Delete all offline content"
step 4. Press "OK"

Another solution is to switch to another browser, e.g. Mozilla Firefox (which we warmly recommend) that is free to download from here:

If you run Microsoft Windows go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/
For other systems please choose from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html

We are now trying to fix this permanently.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi,

I have problem withopening the magazine. I've downloaded both versions ( print & web) but none opened.

I'm using IE ver.6, and the errore message says "The file is damaged and could not be repaired."

Hi Shahrzad Shirazi!

Please try to download the latest version of adobe reader (it's free) from this link on adobe's site:http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. After you install it, you should clear the Internet Explorer cache memory:

(This will NOT delete your history or your bookmarks)

Open Internet Explorer ->Tools-> Internet Options;
In the “Temporary Internet Files” box select “Delete Files…” select “OK” ; reboot your computer and try to download the files again.

Hope this works; Keep in touch!

Hello,

I think it could also be a problem of connection, if the speed is slow or intermittent the download can be interrupted and the file gets corrupted.
Can you check please if the size of your file is equal with the size of file from our server?

Good luck!

Hi,
I don't know if there is something wrong with my computer or... I have problems opening the downloaded web version of the second issue of the magazine.
I opened the print version anyway. Upup

Hello!

I am glad you could download the print version. Wink
I am thinking the problem had to be with the connection, not with your computer. It is also possible there was a problem with the server while you were taking the file. Best method to check from where the problem comes is to verify the size of the file you downloaded and could not open. If it has 6.23 Mb as the one on our server, it should work. If it has less, it means the download got stopped earlier than it should. If you tried several times with the web version and it failed every time... then it can be a real problem and I need to know more details so we can run some tests.

Thank you for letting me know. Hope no one else has similar problems but if you do, please subscribe to the topic...

Thank you for the tip - I didn't actually check out the size yesterday. It turns out that it is less than 2MB.
But it also is true that I downloaded the file twise before downloading the print version, because I thought it could be because the file was corrupted for some reason.
Now both versions work fine.

Hello,
I cannot download issue 2. I have issue 1 and 3, but something happens with number 2. I've tried the web version, printable version, just open, save... everything. But nothing works. When I try to download it, what I get is a file called "You+must+agree...", and I did agreed all the times. So, I do not know what else I can do. Any ideas?
Thank you very much from Spain.

Welcome Belaso and thank you for reporting this problem!

We are sorry for your problems to download the Issue 2. We have analyse the problem but at this time all the downloads are working properly. We have noticed in the administration, however, that the links you have used to download are not valid. Perhaps this particular error that occurred has something to do with your browser or cookies. Please, access here http://www.e-conservationline.com/component/option,com_docman/task,doc_download/gid,13/Itemid,85/ the direct link, agree with the licence, click "download" then "Click here to proceed". Some times the download can stop before being complete due to connection problems, but you can always try again. Please let me know if it will work. In case the problem still continues, please copy the link of the error page and paste it here.
Can you please tell me which browser are you using and approximately, how many times did you try to download it?

Hello,
Thank you very much for your quick answer.
I have it. The problem had something to do with the download manager I´m using (DAP). For some reason it worked for issues 1 and 3, but not for number 2. So I turned it off and that´s all. Maybe you can use this if someone else has the same problem.
Thanks again.
