Title: Tate's online research journal Post by: Teodora on January 17, 2008, 08:49:33 PM Since 2004 The Tate Gallery is publishing the online journal "Tate Papers". The journal is a biannual publication focusing on the research undertaken at Tate. It publishes scholarly articles and among its topics it includes artists, art theory, conservation, museology and visual culture. Those with a special interest in conservation of modern and contemporary art will find this journal very useful.
The last issue was recently launched and focuses on the replication of modern sculptures made from decomposing materials. According to Tate Research, this number "includes over thirty short papers by leading conservators, curators, art historians and critics, from Europe and America, who recently met at Tate to discuss this subject at a workshop funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Together the papers illuminate different aspects - historical, aesthetic, ethical, legal and practical - of this relatively little explored aspect of modern art practice." The journal can be accessed online (actual as well as past issues) at http://www.tate.org.uk/research/tateresearch/tatepapers/ (http://www.tate.org.uk/research/tateresearch/tatepapers/) Title: Re: Tate's online research journal Post by: mjbcisy on December 22, 2008, 08:56:53 PM Thanks for this great stuff .
